I love this song when I wake up, it puts me in the right place

2. Toni Curtis – Sailing
I spent alotta time sailing around islands growing up, this takes me there. Also, I wanna be in a corner at the dancehall with my man for this one (-: as the DJ drops Hopeton Lindo- silent consent (I’m In love Again)

3. May J Blige – Love No Limit Remix
The breakdown at 2:56 is craazy each and every time, I’m a big Mary fan and this is the song I sing along to when NOBODY is around I’m Loving you, loving you every day, don’t you look no more love without a limit!…’ feel that!

4. Gabrielle – Dreams Can Come True
Such a girly tune, I loved this for years, a good pick me up

5. Nas – Halftime
My favorite Nas song ever, makes me feel strong

9. D-Train – You’re The One For Me
Mixed with Gwen Guthrie this is a combo I love, once again the break is nuts at 4:12 the chant is ‘with the love I have inside of me we could turn this world around, we could live through all eternity, and never touch the ground…’

10. Nina Simone – Funkier Than a Mosquitos Tweeter (Live)
I have enormous love for Nina Simone, so unique, non-conventional, other songs are more politically relevant, yet this has a great big energy
