Anna Catherine is a writer, budding photographer and all around beautiful soul. K+R threw some get acquainted questions at her to see what she would throw back. Catch.
Favorite book: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. To me Jane is the epitome of grace.
Favorite film: This is a hard one, but I’ll go with a classic “The Philadelphia Story” with all the greats.
Favorite song: Thank You by Led Zeppelin – love should always be that way.
Favorite quote: “If I love you, what business is it of yours?” Goethe
Ideal meal: Fried Vegetables and pasta home cooked with my girl friends.
Favorite garment: A black dress I bought from an designer years ago. It’s very elegant, and classic. All women need a black dress but this one I’ve always loved because it crosses in the back and pops a bit in the waist reminding me of designs reminiscent of the 1940’s. I call it my Ava Gardner dress.
Favorite website: www.livejournal.com
Favorite place: Washington Square Park
Favorite vice: Chocolate, and gin
Favorite artist: Gustav Klimt
Favorite photographer: Sarah Moon
Your perfect day begins with silence and ends with noise.
Your personal sexy? Sexy is when someone makes me laugh till my insides hurt, when a man gives me his tee shirt to sleep in after he’s worn it all day. Sexy is when one of my best girl friends kisses me like her life depends on it. I love when someone makes me dinner. Sexy doesn’t have to be about sex directly, but more about what brings you to it. For me all the little things about a person are sexy. Hands, lips, and intelligence.

About modeling: I’ve always felt that I fell into modeling. It was one of those things that happened and was born out of the necessity to regain self esteem. I’ve always been a writer, and had never considered the possibility of being an artist in front of the camera. In result it’s been one of the most thought provoking journeys I’ve been on in life. I believe that it’s the model’s job to bring a certain creative element to the project, encourage the people, especially the photographer she’s or he is working with to find something new and exciting to do. My favorite experiences are working with people I genuinely care for, who bring out facets of my personality no one would see otherwise.
In deciding to work with Aeric I found someone ready and willing to explore the fundamental desires of nature. I often think had I not decided on working with him I would be missing out on this wonderful rip in a big fat secret, that secret being that society has formed standards for art where there shouldn’t be any. He makes me feel comfortable, plays my favorite music, and in doing so we get to make some spectacular images together. I wish everyone were brave enough to work with him because it simply expands the way you think about and see things. Aeric reads my expressions like a road map. He can see them coming from inches away and captures them with the ease of a familiar friend. If I could, I’d gladly ablaze in his portfolio and carry his work of me everywhere.
