Self Portrait, in Ibiza !
I sit and I await. I am drawn to my inner lining of self, love and all alike. Continuing to chase my dreams…
I am dreaming of love – a daydreamer. A believer of a fantastic romance that is so different and surreal.

Where: Carmichael Gallery 1257 N. La Brea Avenue, West Hollywood, CA 90038

Although Guy’s work is classical in sensibility, it is also very much associated with the urban art movement through the raw themes and imagery explored.
This new show is entitled ‘Celebrity Will Eat Itself’. The work explores his feelings on the public’s obsession with the idea of celebrity, the socially dysfunctional icons of our times, and the potentially damaging effects of Hollywood idolatry on both the idols and the idol-worshippers.

We wrote about this show in May and it is still going strong.
‘THREE BOYS FROM PASADENA’
an exhibition of photographs by:
Mark Arbeit
George Holz
Just Loomis
curated by June Newton
The Helmet Newton Foundation
Museum Fur Fotogrfie
Jebensstrasse 2, 10623 Berlin, Germany
DI – SO 10 – 18, DO 10-22
“As I wrote, you three were the only ones who became photographers in your own right. You three compliment one another and you all had a unique relationship with Helmut and you’ve become his offspring-you have your own voices. It was a special time in your lives – all four of you and I was the witness. It will never come again.” -June Newton, Chateau Marmont, Hollywood, February 13, 2008
Mark Arbeit, George Holz and Just Loomis first met Helmut Newton in 1979 while students at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. They persevered and eventually all three became Helmut’s assistants during one of the most exciting and prolific times in Helmut’s photography.
For almost thirty years, they kept in touch and shared their personal work with both Helmut and June. June first conceptualized the idea of the “Three Boys from Pasadena” after Helmut’s death, and is now honoring them with this group exhibition at the Helmut Newton Foundation.
The show will consist of 25 pieces of each photographer’s work, edited and selected by June Newton. This is a celebration of mentorship and friendship; many years in the making.
