SHADE

This project was built as a poem inspired by an increasingly profound descent into the shadows of the city while one meanders into its shadows.

At any given moment—at times ones life grows dark within familiar places of wandering, play, or abandonment.
It is of these souls I speak.

The migrants of those living on the streets, with the melancholic persons possessed by alcohol; with thoughts of them I find myself abandoned into a step-by-step continuation into the shadow of their trails.

To exist in the shadows, is indeed a pleasant stroll for me.
Within its shade, I can play with the retarder of my camera,
I can approach my city closer—almost disappearing into its recesses—
As if I too exist in the shadow.
