FASHION CONTEST: FACE OF THE CITY

New York, NY – New York City is the world’s capital. It is home to the best and the
brightest and often the most beautiful. Finding those beauties can be a tall order but the
incredibly fresh fashion showcase Face of the City created by Fabio Tonelli, Valentina
Brugnoli & Piergiorgio Del Moro (DMFASHIONSTUDIO USA), Eleonora Quizmolli
(Sensation of House) & Mina Quizmolli (MU Photography) step up to the plate to do just
that. Their inaugural show held at NYC’s Nikki Beach took place this past winter season.
Over twenty beauties competed in the event in order to be crowned the new “Face of the
City”. The judges included Diana Santi of New York Film Academy, Francesco Belcaro
of Made In Italy, Marco Piana, Philip L. McKenzie of Karin + Raoul , Edward Dalton
of Attica, model, Anastasia Khodkina and recording artist, Kristine Elezaj. Given such
an array of talent the judges had their work cut out for them…in the end two beauties
were left standing. Miss Abieja Jammeh of TOP-Choice Models (Syrah Scott CEO)
walked away as the winner and was crowned as the 2010 “Face of the City”.

Abieja hails from Gambia and has long wanted to pursue a career in modeling. She has been cast in numerous commercials, stage productions and competes in pageants. Despite her focus on her career she is very devoted to her native Gambia and intends to use her success in fashion to help those less fortunate at home. This September as we prepare to kick off fashion week here in NYC she will be flying to Milan courtesy of Face of the City & DMFASHIONSTUDIO USA to participate in casting for their fall season shows The 1st runner up is Miss Margherita Medici. She is Sicilian but was raised here in NYC.

She was first discovered by the editor for Italian Vanity Fair and has not only graced their
pages but those of BlackBook Magazine, ID Magazine and Numero. This fall she will be
taking acting courses at the New York Film Academy.
September is almost here again and the Face of the City team is gearing up for their 2nd
show that promises to provide us with new talent, new dreams and of course new faces.
