Artist and my friend Ross Brodar has crashed the Outsider Art Fair for the last 10 years in a row.

He has been so effective with his frontal onslaught that little publications like the New York Times and The Wall St. journal have taken notice. This year he, Ross Brodar was invited by Art Gallery Olof of the Netherlands to show in the actual fair.    

By chance, a friend of his has a space in the same building…

Artist  Sanctuary is starting at 8:30 until 10, then a dance party amongst the art after.  Kimyon along with 4 other artists, will be showing varying sized canvases doors, and other found objects. There will be drinks and many many surprises. These multimedia events always turn out wonderfully. And do trust, they are always memorable and exciting !!!

This will be  a screening and an opening dance party all wrapped up in a big exquisite mess on 34th st.  

This will not be what you expected it to be. So come with an open mind. See you there…

When the street artist and guerrilla marketer Shepard Fairey got word from the Obama people that they would welcome his contribution to the campaign, he knew what he wanted to create: a phenomenon.

All political art is propaganda (that is the point), but most political posters are bland, forgettable, wallpaper, like Fred Thompson on an off day. Fairey wanted something more iconic — aspirational, inspirational — and cool. In other words, he wanted to make posters that the cool cats would want. The 2008 Democratic primary season equivalent of the Che poster (with all that implies). More Mao, more right now. The kind of poster that might make its way onto dorm room walls of fanboys. The kind of poster that might sell on eBay, as a signed Fairey Obama recently did, for $5,900. He wanted his posters to go viral.

“I wanted strong. I wanted wise, but not intimidating,” Fairey says of the look for his Obamas. The agitprop pop art has become a must-have accessory among a certain subset of the candidate’s supporters, who have gobbled up more than 80,000 of Fairey’s posters and 150,000 postcard-size stickers since Super Tuesday. – By William Booth

The Olsen twins are all grown up and they look smashing! They are the true meaning of Chic. Their first introduction to us came when they were little infants. They were part of a show called “Full House“…I would find myself having my dinners and catching their show every night. I loved this program and how cute the Olsen twins where then – simply adorable! They truly became a house hold name. Both continued their acting career by appearing in numerous television program, film and commercial endorsements…  

I remember walking into a barbeque party in LA a few years back and there you had it… the Olsen twins where laying out basking in the sun by the poolside. Mary-kate was sitting up with one leg in the pool and her sister Ashley laid on her lap. The sun just caressed them kindly while they sat there peacefully. I felt as if I was stepping into a movie scene. I only wished to have been able to take a picture just to capture how divinely beautiful they both looked, because they just did!

These girls not only have lots of style, they also have a great deal of finesse. What was more memorable about these twins where that they where sincerely very sweet. They certainly left a wonderful impression on me!

You will find these pictorials of their life to be interesting and yes, it is about fashion!  The influences range from designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and John Gulliano to artist like Peter Beard - Terry Richardson and of course their friends. This book cleverly illustrates more then just shoes and clothes – There is a section added – a dedication to several organizations and facilities to help others less fortunate. I found this to be supa SEXY and amazing !!!

Love this statement they threw in… It is all about giving unconditionally… The Universe always finds abundance back into your lap! 

The twins have surely grown to become such suave creatures. Rock on girls and continue to be !!!!

David Choe, was born in LA and today can be found now wondering all around the world. He is innovating with no restraints. He pours his art in almost everything he touches. His works can in all mediums from ccomics, murals, toys, prints, movies, music, magazines, books, t-shirts, commercials, posters, shoes, fine art, live demos… Damn… There is nothing this man can not do… He just does it and redefines art!

There is so much to be said just by looking at his work ! 

After viewing one of his interview – it was clear that he just LOVE’s painting or “tagging up”! Whether he is in the bathroom stall or pacing the city streets… He will bring that can out or marker and gravitate to any wall !  He is a true rebel at heart and soul and his work demonstrate his energy and implies his humor… I simply LOVE ! 

I personally am drawn to his mixed media work – very captivating and so much going on!!!
